This year I am doing some advance planning to get a head start on my holiday to-do list—a key step is to design our family Christmas card well in advance. This year is extra special since it is the first Christmas Jeff and I have spent together as a married couple, and I chose to highlight that in our Christmas card design. Then, I went through and clicked “favorite” on all my potential card picks and uploaded the photo I wanted to use and tried it out on my potential card picks. Rainy days, dining outside, entertaining family and friends, pretty things, long walks with my pups, a good cup of Earl Grey tea, and twinkle lights. I love reading a good book and getting so caught up in the story I refer to the characters as if they are real. I attended graduate school at New York University and enjoyed every minute of my two years living in New York City. I love to dress up and prefer a classic preppy style dress over a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

Today’s post is a little different than the lifestyle post I usually write about, but I am looking to expand on my collaboration posts. As all of you creatives out there know the best publicity is word of mouth or in our case the written word through a blog post. This is a terrific way to help you get your name and brand out there if you are a small business owner, blogger, Etsy shop owner, etc. I love to collaborate with blogs, brands, and companies that reflect Chic Ideology’s style, aesthetic, readership, and content.
