Recently I was commissioned to shoot Chinese Laundry’s new Rustic Canyon line with my gal Quigley! The brand wanted the shoot to really capture the rustic/rural desert side of California, so we headed out to our reliable spots near Palmdale and Lancaster, about an hour or so outside of Los Angeles. We had so much fun coming up with creative and new ways to capture some of our go-to locations out in the desert, but also how to still make the shoes the focus of the image without having them take up too much of your attention. We were about to shoot our last look of the day, and Quigley took a side road, and as soon as we pulled off the highway, we felt the entire car sink deep into the sandy soil!

While in Morocco for a brand shoot, I got the opportunity to capture some lifestyle and adventure photos of my own showing a glimpse into what I experienced while in this exotic, African country. Fortunately, the videographers and I were able to take a few days on the tail-end of our trip and drive 10 hours across the country-side of Morocco to the Sahara Desert. We stayed in the heart of the desert, transported there on camel-back, to luxury tents with king beds, hot running water, and dinner provided. We woke up at 6 am the next day to take another camel ride at sunrise further into the dunes.

While recently in Los Cabos, Mexico for some travel collaborations, Quigley and I had the opportunity to shoot with the incredible bridal brand, They recently just launched, and we felt so lucky to be able to capture these stunning gowns in such an amazing place, perfect for a destination wedding. We stayed at The One and Only Palmilla resort while in Mexico and had an hay day styling and shooting these gowns all around the coastline and resort. Although the floral headpiece weighed about 10 lbs and came along with a hefty headache, the images featuring what I have dubbed the “Floral Fro” are my absolute favorite.
