Hi I'm Lola! My book, Lola: Diary Of A Rescued Cat (Available on Amazon) is the tale of how I went from a dumpster kitty to the luckiest cat in the world!
He was my one true love, my heart cat, who came into my life as a rambunctious black and white kitten when I was 19 years old. She had been there almost a year, and when I asked if there was something “wrong” with her, the volunteer (I still remember his name was George) said people just wanted a younger cat (she was only 1 and ½ ! ) or a more exotic looking cat. George couldn’t believe that two people inquired about Lexy in one day! I can now think of Marvin with more love than I’ve been able to in many years and his photo is proudly displayed on the shelf above my television.
I was very excited when I heard that Ellen J. Pilch of 15 and Meowing published a children’s book. She happened upon the Pilch household where they were putting up Christmas decorations, including a nativity scene. Prancie’s Prayer is the first picture book written by Ellen J. Pilch, illustrated by Nicolas Peruzzo, and published by Mirror Publishing. She has trouble finding something to eat and a warm place to sleep, but with a little help from above she finds all of that and more in her wonderful forever home.
When I was writing our look back at 2018 I was pleasantly surprised at just how much content I was able to generate last year. Wow, I’m really making it in this business if I’m a finalist amongst such talented, professional writers. The contest had a great turnout this year, with 310 total entries. I’m grateful for so many things; for Lexy and Lola choosing to adopt me and setting us on this journey together, for the new skills I have learned, for the friendships I have formed, for the dedicated (albeit small) followers and commenters on the blog, and for where it all began – the Facebook cat community.
She was at Starbucks in Orlando with Cupcake, one of the stars of Sometimes Cats Herd You and Cats Going Places ! (We also have some guest selfies, so you'll want to make sure to read to the end! ) (I purrsonally think Starbucks should call it a cataccino, but that's just my opinion.) Mommy thought it would be a great idea to have the gang do guest selfies on our blog, and they all agreed!
