For me, candles are the closest thing to a wood burning fireplace in a state that has largely banned wood-burning fireplaces in residential homes. I wonder if candle sales are higher in Colorado than states that allow wood-burning fireplaces? So with almost empty glass jars piling up after the holidays, I had to find an easy way to upcycle candle jars. And, I discovered the key to cleaning out the wax was to freeze the jars, followed by hot water.
And, I am sharing how to manage the holiday prep details in January. This time last year I was storing a flocked tree in the basement bathtub until I could find a permanent place to store it. And, to hold me accountable I created a (pinnable) list on how to manage the holiday prep details before the next holiday season. And, with this tree safely stored in the bathtub, I can tackle my prep list!
I am Laura and I am a Denver lifestyle blogger & Realtor who loves to talk and type about homes, DIY and upcycle projects. I am addicted to lists, coffee, Sharpies and reorganizing my kitchen cabinets. I love to drive my husband crazy with texts like, “ Hey, where is the master water shut off valve?
And, one of my favorite places to buy cleaning products is Homegoods and Target. Homegoods has the cute spray bottles and a large selection of Made in the USA products. And, spray bottles make great up-cycle containers for cleaning staples like vinegar, bleach and just plain water (to make a baking soda paste). Which was the perfect place to share my new Target Target now sells a new line of cleaning products called Smartly.
