While every day is Kindness Day at Agency H5, we love having the opportunity to spread the spirit of kindness with everyone on World Kindness Day each November. As a company rooted in kindness both inside and outside the office walls, World Kindness Day is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the importance of sharing (and accepting) good deeds. To spread the message of kindness citywide for World Kindness Day, we shared a social media graphic as a team and to influencers across Chicago with a simple message: On a day like World Kindness Day, we want to encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on how we can all be good to one another, especially in our own backyard.
One of the best examples of H5’s dedication to recruiting (and keeping) the best young talent is Victoria Whiting, who has evolved from intern to Senior Account Director in her eight plus years with the agency. With this wealth of experience under her belt, Victoria was kind enough to share five ways public relations has changed in the past five years, as well as her insight on how to navigate the everchanging waters of PR, marketing and communications. A lot of coverage opportunities are now paid, so getting earned coverage without sponsored content or affiliate links is becoming more and more rare, and it’s important to supplement your earned strategy with paid, owned and social channels. After 7+ years navigating the media scene for CPG brands, commodity boards and community awareness campaigns, she currently serves as a Senior Account Director at H5 overseeing influencer relations, media strategy, consumer marketing and social content for several brands in the food, beverage and retail industries.
Here’s the thing about presentations: you might have the best ideas in the world, but if you don’t take your deck the extra mile in terms of design, you run the risk of losing your client’s attention (or worse, their business). Many phone apps can achieve this effect, but for a deeper dive into planning and execution, it’s ideal to create them yourself with the client’s needs and end-user in mind. That’s why my fellow creative here at Agency H5, Allie Petro, and I enrolled in a motion graphics course to learn this new treatment, as well as other creative ways to more efficiently and effectively support H5’s clients. – it’s all about using established design principles while adhering to the client’s brand guidelines, to strike a balance for the best visual solution.
