Fun facts: Launched in 1974, over a million bottles of Albion’s Skin Conditioner is sold yearly, and is the brand’s bestselling product. The product’s promise: The key ingredient of this product is Job’s Tears, which is said to restore cellular metabolism to a healthy 28-day cycle, boost the skin ’s immunity, help diminish redness, impurities and flaws, and create smooth, beautiful skin that is less prone to the formation of keratin plugs (a cause of skin congestion), pimples and acne. The Verdict: I was quite sold on the Job’s Tears ingredient, but to be really honest, I didn’t see any amayzing results on my skin.
It’s available in 4 shades (1 isn’t featured in their original product imagery) According to their website: * 03 Mint: Giving clean and clear brightness by correcting the strong red skin tone * 04 Shimmery White: Dazzling brightness that gives a transparent three-dimensional look to the face I got shade 2 Lavender, which is for radiance (vs sallow skin) The Packaging: A sleek tube that has a pump dispenser – The Verdict: I tried on the Lavender shade, which gives a very slight sheen of lilac and does give the skin a subtle glow. Makeup (foundation/bb cushion) sits comfortably on this primer, and gives that extra 5% radiance to your skin (especially if you have dry skin or are in a drier wintery climate).
this time round, I’ve been giving Eucerin®’s skincare products a go, as their products have been said to be a non-invasive alternative to achieving radiant and plump skin. It’s the brand’s first ever 2-in-1 moisturiser that contains AHA and hyaluronic acid, and will restore your face’s natural radiance and help you achieve wrinkle-free skin. The recommended method was to use this + Concentrate + Night Cream and then Eye cream, but on days when I was too exhausted to go through the multi steps, I found that using this alone also helped my skin look radiant the next day. I love that it’s suitable for use in humid climates like Singapore’s (without feeling too heavy on the skin), and yet hydrating and efficient enough to keep the skin hydrated in drier airconditioned interiors.
(that’s another story for another day’s review, but essentially, we Asians have very much different lash types from the Caucasians). What I love about this is: a) perfect for carrying on-board when you’re travelling, and b) the seal of the individual tubs are sealed tightly for hygiene, and yet so, so easy to peel and remove even with wet fingers in the shower. The powder forms a paste easily (you just need wet hands, there’s no need to add water to it). The skin looks healthily clean and radiant (try it for yourself to see), and definitely smoother without that clogged-up feels.
