Chris stood alone on the cliffs of San Diego overlooking the ocean, waiting for his bride. In front of 50 of their closest family and friends, Aria + Chris exchanged vows at the super hip Lot8 in San Diego. Instead of a classic sit-down dinner, Aria + Chris served up stone-oven baked pizza and pie for dessert. Their day felt less like a formal event and more like a cozy, intimate family gathering.

Both of them love the outdoors and the ocean, which Costa Rica’s beach towns offer plenty of both! They had a pre-wedding portrait session with me the day before, which turned out to be a serendipitous because it rained a bit on the day of the wedding. Working with Kristina Ulrich of Perennial Weddings they began to plan their wedding at the lovely Costa Rican Resort, Costa Verde. Afterward, we were able to slip down to the beach between raindrops and capture some amazing photos with one of Costa Rica’s epic rainy season sunsets.

Berkley + Elijah’s Wedding was as beautiful as it was special. From the beginning of the wedding day with Berkley and the girls looking beautiful, and Elijah and the men hanging out and relaxing, through the end of the celebration, there wasn’t a shortage of moments for us to capture. And can I just say that Berkley could not possibly have picked a better dress? I believe the special moments and energy of the wedding day were a perfect reflection of Berkley + Elijah and their incredible story!

Clara-Alec Proposal-Eden Park in Cincinnati, OH, US Alec emailed me and asked if I would be available to photograph him proposing to Clara at Eden Park. He had everything planned perfectly from the exact GPS coordinates to our ninja back story for why I was there so we just had a regular old session for a few minutes.
