I thought that if I accomplished something without setting a goal, then there was no reason to set a goal in the first place. However, I realize now that setting goals gives us a sense of accomplishment that encourages us to move forward and set new goals. Without setting goals, it’s easy to just plow through tasks and events without really recognizing how much you’ve accomplished. Setting goals puts us in that mindset and gives us that same satisfying feeling when we accomplish our goals.
I’m a big fan of Ted Talks and after realizing that I wanted to take this blog in the direction of personal growth, I knew I had to compile the BEST ted talks for personal growth. Brené Brown talks about her discovery of the power of vulnerability and how vulnerability can create deeper connections, foster a sense of courage, and most importantly, give a sense of worthiness. I basically live on my phone (but lets be honest, who doesn’t), so I do a lot of stuff for my blog on my phone. So, I use a lot of apps for blogging and I figured I’d share with you the apps that I think are the best apps for blogging. It also gives you a lot of stats like your top post, top hashtags, best times to post, etc. Buffer lets me schedule tweets to promote my blog so that I can use twitter organically while also getting my blog out there.
I feel like I often fall into the same old routine of climbing into bed, curling up with Netflix, and then forcing myself to get out of bed and do work because it’s already 5pm. If I don’t have a good morning, I most likely won’t have a good day. With this schedule set in mind, I work during the day whenever I have time in order to get my work done before 5pm. Make yourself work when it’s time to work and relax when it’s time to relax.
