Years ago I had gone to an Easter Egg Hunt at a friends house and they had an egg hunt for every age group even adults. I had never thought of having an Adult Easter Egg Hunt but it was just as fun as I when I was a kid. Every year my neighbor and I joke that we are going to have a adult Easer Egg Hunt and fill the eggs with wine bottles and fill Easter baskets full of wine and chocolate for ourselves. This year I’ve put together these boozy adult Easter eggs, they are perfect for an adult egg hunt or a fun themed Easter basket for friends, family or whoever has to deal with the kids after they have devoured an entire chocolate bunny.
The kids played board games and foosball and explored their room while the adults enjoyed some wine in the sunroom which quickly became the adult I had thought farm air and a late night would have the kids sleeping in but they were all up bright and early and playing card games. Which was a nice change from the television and video games that usually mark a weekend at We quickly cooked up the fresh eggs which everyone agreed tasted much better than store-bought eggs. As we said goodbye to our friends and pulled out of the driveway the big white house growing smaller in the distance I finally understood what Blind Buck Valley Farmstead means to people.
It’s realizing how short the years really are and pondering all the coulda, woulda, shoulda’s that run through your mind late at night when you should be sleeping. It’s friends losing parents and parents getting sick and the unending march of time. It’s not worrying when you lose $20 in a slot machine and when you feel blessed that you have the money for the good concert seats but sitting in the cheap seats is still fun. It’s seeing yourself as getting older and realizing that kids who were born when you were in High School are now 20.
Snow University is Smugglers’ Notch Resorts ski and snowboard program for kids. I was happy to see Jack head off to Sir Henry’s Hill where the kids learn to ski John and I decided to head over to Sir Henry’s Hill to see if we could spy on Jackson’s Snow Sport University experience. The team at Smugglers’ Notch Snow University made Jack’s first ski experience a wonderful one.
