Time for a change

Over that the time, my style has changed and developed, and only now does it feel like I am starting to find my look and identity in the wedding world. I wanted to change the norm that your wedding photography finishes at the first dance and also to build meaningful relationships with our couples where appropriate. As a result of this, the old branding and website doesn’t now truly reflect my style and approach to wedding photography anymore, so it’s time for a change. We have been working with the amazing Adam from Grizzly Bear Designs to re-brand the company starting with the look, colours and logos and now the launch of the new website.

Surrey Sunset Engagement Shoot

We don’t often blog our engagement shoots as they are a way for us to build a deeper relationship with our couples, have a beer and a chat, and, more importantly for them, to get comfortable with being a couple in front of me and my camera. We often choose locations that are more remote rather than the hustle and bustle of busy city life. For us this works well and helps our couples relax because there isn’t an audience watching them. Laura & Alastair live in a beautiful part of Surrey and recently discovered this gorgeous corn field.

London Wedding at The Marylebone Town Hall & The Westbourne Pub…. Fran & Rob had their wedding at the Marylebone Town Hall followed by their local pub and it was a truly special day. Don’t get me wrong, beautiful flowers and fancy food help the day to look pretty and run smoothly but they don’t make a wedding. The Westbourne Pub is where Fran & Rob first met, it’s also where Rob has worked as did many of their guests at some point.

TESSA & STEPHEN // WYTHAM VILLAGE // OXFORDSHIRE

From the get go, Tessa sent us so much helpful information about where she was getting ready before the wedding, the church where the ceremony was taking place, the gorgeous village of Wytham where the church and reception venues were and was clearly one of the most organised brides we’ve had the pleasure of working with. From the beautiful design of her wedding dress, and the choice (and amount! ) of flowers, to the decor at the reception and the overall look and feel of the day. Everyone seemed to be genuinely happy to be there and to be a part of such a happy day; there were smiles and laughter all day long which made our jobs as photographers an absolute dream. The green-fingered among you will appreciate the (many) floral contributions to this portfolio and neither Zoë or I are apologising for it because, as you’ll see, it was just b-e-a-utiful to look at.
