Digging deep and sounding big is the brand new electronic mix of Danny Avila‘s The original came about in June and featured low-slung hip hop vocals from both Famous Dex and Xnilo. Avila is known for his distinctive, multi-layered sound and doesn’t disappoint with this edit. Since most people know me as an electronic artist, I decided to give it another session in the studio, pumping some electronic sounds into it.

It’s a touching piece of pop music, building on her soulful vocals with a beautifully sentimental chorus, while keeping things edgy with cool electronic rhythms and effects. Following the millions of streams she already scored in recent years, this new single is bound to take this burgeoning star next level! Initially known for many popular releases in her native country, Medina has been the biggest female pop star coming from Denmark the last decade. It’s a record that breathes melancholic vibes as well as inviting pop sentiments – entering an exciting new chapter in Medina‘s ever evolving career.

Building on the feel-good vibe of the original, Showtek raise the temperature from the offset with this dancefloor-focused rework – culminating with a high-octane drop in the track’s latter stages. Released last month, the original has already generated 1.8 million YouTube hits and is set to become the lead single from Major Lazer’s forthcoming album. Speaking about the track, Showtek said: Very excited to collaborate with Major Lazer again & Skip Marley on this project. An internationally recognised group in their own right, Major Lazer is comprised of globally recognised artists’ Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums.
