The Queen of Hungary

However good skin care is hard to find. No matter how much money I am willing to spend, I rarely find things which suit my skin without blistering it with painful acne morning after. Purifying and hydrating, this toner was inspired by the Queen of Hungary Water, the world’s first recorded perfume, formulated for Queen Elisabeth of Hungary in the 14th century. This rose scented mist not only refreshes my skin but also hydrates it, leaving it supple and soft.

Are you a Perfect Mother?

As I come back home around 6 pm from a shoot that lasted 14 hours, several tantrums and cat fights on the set, I rush to see if my kids have finished their home work. As I see them sleeping peacefully in their beds, I realise I haven’t taken my scarf off ever since I’ve been back. No wonder I’ve lost half of my hair and my neck is constantly itchy as it is covered in sweltering heat. As cold water runs down my sweaty hair, relaxing my aching neck muscles, I realise my older one had a test tomorrow

Conquer your Creative Block

Every day, after dropping my kids to school, I come home, have my coffee and sit on this table and stare at the wall till its time to pick my kids up. To be honest, anyone involved in a creative job tells you they’ve never experienced this are either lying or are simply not passionate enough about their work. Again, it might sound very childish but sleeping over a problem not only helps you get a better perspective of things, it also changes it and you start seeing things differently. Now this sounds even crazier, but God be with me, weeping not only helps get rid of all the negative energy, it will help you relax and again give a different perspective of things.

The Invisible Labor

Lets compare: a man comes home from work, has a lay in, eats, goes out with friends if he wants. A woman comes home from work, does the laundry, makes dinner, tends to home work, tantrums, bath times and bed time stories. In Islam, it says no where a man can’t help with household chores, tend to the kids, do anything dare I say The men who help take care of their kids (to the horror of their mothers) which include changing diapers, giving them a bath are a laughing stock for other men.
