The past month and a half I’ve been residing in Rome, studying abroad through University of Washington and living in the center of the city. I’ve learned so much Italian in such a short time, and the biggest reason is because I’ve literally been immersed in all things Italian. I’ve certainly gotten homesick for the food back home, and wished there was a Trader Joe’s to shop at here in Rome. I’ve certainly missed out on a lot in the blogging world in the past month and half, but I’ve also experienced so much in my time abroad thus far that I anticipate to share.
Keep in mind, I didn’t actually tell my friends I was feeling like crap that day. In honor of National Dog Day coming up this Saturday, I wanted to share with you all the benefits of having a dog. Dogs obviously need to be walked, and having a dog in your life requires you to be more active than simply a life as a couch potato engaged in a demanding relationship with Netflix. Dogs are known as man’s best friend (and woman’s because we are living in the 21st century and equality is a thing) for a reason.
If you do like wearing color in your life, and you like floral prints and other summery patterns, here are a few options that you may like too. While it always seems like women have it easier for dressing up because of the vast amount of clothes, accessories, shoes etc. to choose from, men probably feel a bit limited in their options. It may seem like it’s a bit more difficult to personalize, and differentiate the outfit from the sea of men in suits. As mentioned above, I recently got the chance to attend a friend’s quinceanera, which is a birthday event popular in the Hispanic culture when a girl turns 15.
The perfect popcorn and drink combo in my opinion should be so great that it creates flavor explosions, like that one scene from Ratatouille when Remy paired random food together into a flavorful combination. Today, I have with you all a helpful little guide for some easy popcorn and drink pairings to try out, thanks to SkinnyPop Popcorn. Much like in the SkinnyPop popcorn and drink pairing guide, I love to have a tasty fruity beverage with cheese-flavored popcorn. One drink I highly recommend trying with a white cheddar flavored popcorn is a strawberry açai refresher with lemonade instead of water, a couple pumps of mango syrup, and both blackberries and strawberries from Starbucks.
