4) Gawk at the views from Bluffs Park Galiano’s oldest park, established in 1948, is found at the south end of the island, close to the ferry terminal. Near the south end of the island sits Montague Harbour Marine Provincial Park, the first designated marine park in British Columbia. Woodstone Manor isn’t located seaside, but its bucolic countryside views – rolling green pastures, where horses roam, against a backdrop of forested hills – are just as appealing as the island’s ocean views. The inn’s Atrevida restaurant is the island’s only ocean-front dining spot – and dinner is very good here.
Cabo’s weather is more pleasant than Cancun’s during these months. For current seaweed conditions in Cancun, see the reports and updates from the Red de Monitoreo del Sargazo Cancun, a non-profit environmental organization which monitors the seaweed blooms and publishes maps of areas affected. The U.S. State Advisory on Mexico has the same warning for the state of Quintana Roo (which includes Cancun, Tulum and the Riviera Maya) as it does for Cabo and the Baja state If leaning towards Cancun, personally we’d prefer to stay on the Riviera Maya, perhaps near Playa del Carmen or in Tulum.
So if you’re looking for the best swimming beaches in Kauai, you’ve come to the right place. Because Anini Beach is so shallow and calm, this is one of the best beaches for kids in Kauai – they can build sand castles by the water’s edge and splash about in safety. It’s one of the best beaches in Kauai to swim and go boogie boarding in summer – when the water is typically calm. As you’re facing the water, there’s a large main beach area, a small baby pond (calm and shallow for toddlers) to the right and another small pond to the left (near the salt ponds) for snorkeling.
But there’s more to St. Barts than its secluded beach coves, chic boutiques and sophisticated hotels. How to get around St. Barts St. Barts is not a walkable island (except in the main town of Gustavia). Some of the most secluded beaches on the island include Colombier Beach (see below under #5 of “Things to Do in St. Barts”), Saline Beach and Gouverneur Beach. As it’s protected by hills, it’s not as windy and doesn’t get as big waves as the more popular beaches of Gouverneur Beach and Grand Cul de Sac.
