The lifestyle blog dedicated to helping moms build better relationships and live healthier, happier lives.
But when I look at where I am in my life and what God is asking me to do, continuing to create content for this blog just isn’t a part of the equation anymore. Life has proven to me that what feels good isn’t always right, and what’s right doesn’t always feel good. And sadly, I’ve known for almost a year that it’s time to move on. Working with students is something I have cherished since I finished grad school 16 years ago, so I can’t wait to see what’s next.
and I am not going to not do something for Cub (our second son) that I did for Little Bear (our first son). Our Cub will be the last child that we experience the excitement of the first tooth, the joy of first steps, the love-filled first birthday and the family-filled first holiday season. The firsts with Little Bear were exciting but, his first full year of life feels like a blur of getting used to a baby, exhaustion, overcoming one challenge after another and exhaustion. Even though Cub’s first year is moving forward at a rapid pace, I feel like I am better prepared to recognize a ‘moment’ when we are in it and have the opportunity to relish inside of it.
Few things are as uncomfortable as watching a woman I love pretending to be someone I know she’s not when her man is in the room. I am talking about those moments when she acts shy even though I know she’s not, or moments when she seems anxious or uncomfortable because of something her new love interest says or does. If someone comes to with concerns about how you act around your man and you just aren’t buying it, check in with other people you love who have been around both of you and ask for their honest feedback. He may be, but that doesn’t mean he’s great for YOU.
The kind of gift that makes a friend smile from ear to ear because it’s just what she wanted or needed (even if she didn’t realize it). Great gift for anyone who’s mentioned that they want to put fitness first in 2018. It’s always nice getting anything in the mail that’s not a bill, and if you are a foodie like me, getting snacks in the mail is a special treat. I love the brand, I love their mission (ending childhood hunger), and I love the snacks.
