Great White Shark Cage Diving with White Shark Africa

When I booked my trip to South Africa going on a safari and Great White shark cage diving were at the top of my to do list! A few intros and emails later, White Shark Africa offered to make my Great White dreams come true. I had a +1 for my Great White shark cage diving so after my flight of beer I tipped him with an invite to join! As soon as the first Great White was spotted a group of us threw on provided wetsuits and hopped into the cage that’s attached to the side of the boat.

Shark Diving with Marine Dynamics in Gansbaai, South Africa

This shark expert and thrill-seeker is known for stunts like getting in a “Ghost Cage” (aka a glass cage) with Great Whites. After diving with Great Whites in Mossel Bay (link), I kept my promise and spent a day as Dickie’s guest with the company he works for, Marine Dynamics Marine Dynamics is located in Gansbaai, South Africa. The fact is that every year an estimated 100 million sharks are killed whereas on average there are only 6 fatal shark attacks on humans worldwide. Shark conservation information like this is important and Marine Dynamic does a good job introducing tour-goers to the basics.

7 Things To Do In Sun Valley Idaho

Growing up in the Midwest skiing meant driving to Wisconsin where our “mountains” would be considered bunny hills to true skiers. When I moved to Los Angeles, ski trips took on a whole new meaning

My First Safari at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, South Africa

In fact, I had less than 72 hours to prepare to travel halfway across the world to a place I knew nothing about. The night before I was flying to Joburg, I actually met up to have drinks with Jared in CPT, a fellow travel journalist I had connected with over Instagram. When I told Jared I was headed to Sabi Sabi he ironically was in talks to feature them in an article. I’ve NEVER experienced luxury the way I did at Sabi Sabi.
