Family. The definition sure has changed over the years, hasn’t it? Growing up, family was just that
Day 1, we drove out to Monahans State Park, explored Midland/Odessa a tiny bit, then drove to Lubbock and stayed the night there. Located on campus, the museum has a variety of regular and rotating exhibits with a lot of art, history, dinosaurs, and cultural items. Another fitting museum for West Texas, it’s also located next to the Museum of Texas Tech. The museum is for the legacy of the WWII glider pilots and is located on the site of the prior South Plains Army Air Field.
I’ve hit a wall though and I need friends here, so when this popped up in a local mom group I’m in on Facebook, I joined right away. They have couple friends, but she wants to find those good girl friends. I’ve met and gotten to know the moms of some of my kid’s friends and now that my daughter is in softball, I can already point out a few women who I’ve gotten friendly with and could become friends. You don’t realize how much social interaction you do get from work, even if you don’t talk to a lot of people while there.
