Hi!

My name is Kelsie Janel aka Afoyeke Atolani I am a millennial with a timeless soul that desires to create space by way of creative writing, journaling, and storytelling. I started off writing songs at and poems at 8 years old by remixing songs and poems that I would hear and read online or on TV. My reason for writing even as a child was because I loved being able to express myself in ways that I didn't really know how to out loud due to nerves and anxiety.

Now, I curate space so that the conversations around Millennial Motherhood, Self-Discovery, and Wellness can be held. It is my desire to help all those who read or watch break out of their pre-disposed limitations. Whether we know it or not, we are all born into beliefs and systems that play an important role in our every day life. Some of those beliefs and systems cripple us and don't help us to move forward in the way we would need, and we dampen our voice. With this blog, it is my dream to help others to be more comfortable with themselves so that they can use their voice to fulfill their life's purpose. I dream of creating space for people to truly be their authentic selves, first starting with themselves then branching outward to their community. It is my hope and intention to use this blog to help uplift those of all ages to be their true and authentic self.

Outside of blogging, I spend my time being the best mother, daughter, sister, and friend that I can be. I am not just a writer, but I am also a singer-songwriter, musician, producer, engineer, composer, and arranger. I love all of the creative arts and I desire to see creativity spread throughout the world to help us all become a better global community. I know that I am not the only voice for the people, but I want to be a positive voice to promote change, growth, and true sense of well-being. Welcome to my blog, Afoyeke Speaks!
