Baby Products: What I Use

He loves to watch the spinning stars on the ceiling, and there’s a timer so don’t have to run it all night if you don’t want to. We got this the second night after we brought Desi home since he didn’t want to sleep laying flat and it was a LIFE SAVER. We got the Baby Merlin Magic Sleep Suit ($39) when he got bigger (around 5 months) and he only used it till he outgrew it at 8 months I also didn’t know what Desi would like so we tried a lot of different things like bottles and places to sleep.

Zero Waste Store: Brainchild

I know I’m not supposed to share my brainchild with the internet in case someone is out there and takes my ideas and makes them come true before I get a chance, but I like to share my dreams with my blog, so why not? The town I live in does NOT have a zero waste store, where you can get bulk and household products free from plastic. There is nowhere to get bulk laundry soaps, shampoos and lotions, and other organic natural products that don’t have a plastic wrapper that you just throw away immediately upon or after use

Hiatus: Over

I took quite a bit of a break from my blog lately, mostly because I didn’t really feel like I had anything to say and also mostly because I quit my job when I had a baby! Having a baby and being a stay at home mom is literally the best thing, I’m happier than I’ve been at any job I’ve ever had I can’t wait to find out! My days have been mostly filled with laundry, playtime, making up songs about everything I do a-la Jess from New Girl, and now, making baby food and trying to convince a tiny human that the blended vegetables are the best thing since Velveeta Cheese.

Day 8: London to Paris

Day 8 was here, the day I’d been looking forward to this whole trip. Super happy in the station, very happy on the train, and a little nervous on the train. The church, St Etienne, in Paris, where Owen Wilson takes a ride to the past in a mystery car and meets his literary and artistic idols. I swear I was just as interested in pop culture references in Paris as the food and architecture.
