I've been working in marketing for almost 2 years now, and although this is only still the start of my career, I've learned so many things that I didn't really realize before, about working in this type of field. Here are 5 things that I've learned since I started working in marketing: 1. If you think you pay attention to detail, be sure to pay even closer attention Typos and spelling mistakes happen, and it can be hard to catch every little slip-up, but in marketing it's all about close attention to detail. If you work in marketing, what are some things that you've learned?
I've been back and forth on a few things lately - with my blog, my content, my passion and most importantly, my purpose. I want to create things that inspire and I want to share my voice and my journey. I started this blog because of all the things I love; and over time, I've found more purpose and meaning behind my passions as I went along. I have found that the more people I meet and the more I find things that inspire and move me, the more I want to share more than just "pretty things".
I visited the 35 Bathurst St location in Toronto and got the NuGenesis Dipping add Artificial (Fake Nails) with two colours + holographic and I also got a regular pedicure. The space of Organic Nail Bar is super clean, with white and pearly blue accents. This time, I knew I wanted to choose something a little lighter than I wanted, in hopes that it would turn out to be the colour I imagined (you know what I mean here, The girl who did my nails (Harley) was very good and shaped my nails very nicely, paid close attention to detail and even stopped from time to time so that I could film my Instagram story (which is much appreciated - haha! ).
The t-shirt I'm wearing is totally ironic because I have been dressing so casual lately. From comfy pants and hoodies at the office to cozy pink robes on the weekend in my apartment - I haven't been taking the time to get dressed up much lately, but I've been enjoying taking it easy! I used to plan a different hairstyle, lipstick shade, etc with every daily look and trust me, it gets exhausting after a while! I still love dressing up, I've just been mores selective as to what I dress up for.
