MX is California’s nonprofit health data network that serves more than 120 hospitals, 700 ambulatory care sites, and seven health plans for over 25 million Californians today. With the NCQA status, MX data from approved sources can now be used as standard supplemental data for Healthcare and Efficiency Data Information Set (HEDIS®), allowing more efficient quality reporting for health plans and providers within MX’s network. “Manifest MedEx is committed to reducing the burden of quality reporting and providing high-quality data so that health plans and providers can devote time and energy to what matters most — supporting and caring for patients,” said Claudia Williams, CEO of MX. Earning this credential is a step towards our larger vision of streamlining data sharing across health plans, providers, hospitals, and public agencies to improve health and healthcare for patients and communities throughout California.
York’s largest health information exchange, Healthix, has completed twenty laboratory connections in just a few short weeks, with twenty-seven in line to go live soon. As stated by Cuomo in his executive order: Within 60 days of this Order, all clinical laboratories permitted by the Department of Health pursuant to Article 5, Title 5 of the Public Health Law, and having more than 25 employees, must become qualified entity participants and connect to the SHIN-NY through a qualified entity, and must allow private and secure bi-directional access to patient information by other qualified entity participants authorized by law to access such patient information, pursuant to Part 300 of Title 10 of the NYCRR. “J2’s expertise with InterSystems technology has been critical to helping Northwell establish integrated care management and real-time operational analytics across all venues of care. “J2 and InterSystems have demonstrated full engagement and commitment to CMC, along with a real recognition that the work being done is to underpin a very important clinical service with far-reaching patient and societal outcomes.” Top
Some of the areas in which a CRM system has shown to increase operational efficiencies and contribute to the growth of an urgent care business are: One of the most widely adopted components of CRM is sales automation. Depending on the patient’s age, aftercare communication may be either directly with the patient or with the patient’s guardian. Further streamlining of urgent care operations is possible when a CRM employee referral can be converted to an EHR system patient without the need to re-key information. And so interoperability is the idea of getting these systems to speak with each other, but also getting them to speak with each other in a meaningful way, respecting all of the different things that make healthcare data a little bit different than, say, financial data or logistics data. Once again, you’re talking about hospital systems, lab systems, physical therapy systems, and nursing homes, everything that, at its core, is healthcare data. If we know that there is a standard that everybody speaks to or everybody can come close to speaking to, then you don’t have to worry about when you’re building your application or you’re solving your problem, the “how do I exchange this data from one system to another,” that’s something that interoperability is solving for you. I think one of the biggest challenges is that, because we are using standards and we are using systems that are so established and have been around for so long, the way that we exchange data isn’t exactly the same as how we’ll just call them, you know, very modern systems, are exchanging data.
