Being intentional with how you live your life

Their podcast, Adrift on Purpose, is all about being intentional with how you live your life; of living from a place of purpose and connection versus one of obligation and expectation. There were so many great takeaways from our conversation, including what security and success really look and feel like, what it feels like to live from obligation versus intention, the role fantasies and daydreams play in the journey, and the importance of support along the way. What life looks like when you decide to live with intention * Predictability versus contrast and remaining present through the transitions * * How to know when you’ve gotten off course and what it feels like to live from obligation versus intention *

9 books that changed my life for the better ⋆ Emily Levenson

She had been on tour to talk about her book, The Signature of All Things*, a book I had yet to read. The book and the talk have stayed with me long after, and have become a touchstone for how I view creativity and inspiration in my life and the world. The book was a slow read, not because it wasn’t interesting but because I had to integrate everything that was being said about meditation. If you’re feeling like you’ve lost focused or aren’t really sure what to do with your one big life, this is the book for you.

Expand your view of the world with these 5 books ⋆ Emily Levenson

Some I’ve loved, some I’ve liked, and some have been a bit disappointing (I’m looking at you, The Little Book of Atheist Spirituality*). Whether that’s in accessing our own divine natures, embracing all parts of ourselves — even the ones that we feel shame around, or believing in things that we cannot see or understand, each book has helped to stretch my understanding of the world a little bit more. The book takes on the hearty themes of destiny and The Law of Attraction in such a simple and poetic way, that you leave the book feeling like there is so much more at play in our lives than meets the eye. While Alexander shared a broader view of the Source in Proof of Life, Parti tells of a more personal experience with life reviews of his current life and behaviors and how they connect to previous lives and incarnations.
