When the restaurant first opened in Covent Garden, locals and tourists were waiting a few hours to get their lips around Din Tai Fung’s delicate dim sum. While we were sipping away, we took advantage of the glass-kitchen near the bar, where you could watch all the Din Tai Fung dim sum experts at work, rapidly putting together baskets of delectable looking morsels. It wasn’t long before we were seated at our table, which made for some very happy diners, as we were all ready to try the famous xiao long bao soup dumplings. We ordered a couple of rice dishes, one being egg fried rice and a seperate steamed rice, allowing my colleague to eat something that was vegetarian.
As the new year passes by, and the month of January whizzes by, the countdown to my birthday begins. It’s only five short weeks between that point and the 8th March, but those days decrease faster than I will ever be able to count them
Mayfair has been one of my true loves for the longest time. It’s filled with the fine-dining restaurants, bars that sure know how to shake up a good espresso martini, and let’s not forget the best shopping experiences known to man
