DIY Doggie Doll

I first soaked my fabric in a printer ink set solution called Bubble Jet Set (get it here) and then let it dry (or rather blow dried it because I was too impatient! ). You don’t have to dilute it so after soaking my fabric I’ll just pour the solution back into the bottle so the $15 goes a looong way (also think of the possibilities 😍). If you don’t have access to the Bubble Jet Set, I have tried soaking the fabric in vinegar after printing on it and while it works for the most part, if there’s any color it fades A LOT. Once I printed the picture, I placed it down on a plain piece of fabric (could print the picture mirror image to have on the back as well

New tshirt remodel

To get the quarter sleeve length I measured from shoulder to above elbow (you can of course make it longer or shorter I personally wanted this exact length). Again, you could use the zig zag stitch for this step if you don’t have a serger. I wanted to add the “wifey” design because like I said, I wanted to recreate the shirt I saw on Pinterest. I applied the stencil with an iron waited for it to cool COMPLETELY, went over with black fabric paint, again waited for it to cool completely and then peeled it.

DIY Canteen Remodel

So I bought a (not so cute) $10 canteen bottle (here, though if you google it you can find them elsewhere for about the same price) and covered it with fabric, because c’mon, when you can add a little style you gotta! Another option would be to add a trim over the metal after applying the fabric so you could skip this step. Then, using Mod Podge for fabric, I brushed it all over the fabric covering the canteen, and laid my fabric over it spreading any wrinkles out. Finally, I finished with stuffing the excess fabric into the sides and closing it with the flathead screwdriver!

I’m back!

Now that Landon is older–and doesn’t scream cry if I leave the room A lot of posts will be child and kid friendly, and I won’t be posting daily like I used to. But that means I can focus on the posts I DO write 🙂 I’m excited to be back and have a few posts I’m really looking forward for you to read!
