Live large on a small footprint <3. It's fun too ^^!
I mean, so far I have never met a single person that didn’t like almond milk! If you don’t know if your blender classifies as a high performance blender, it most likely does not 😉. Rinse the almonds and put them in the blender. The pulp (or almond meal) can be dried and dried and used as almond flour, or you can simply add it to your morning bowl of cereals or any cake batter you like. As you can see, making almond milk can be very quick and easy, especially if you have a high performance blender so the almonds don’t need to be soaked
But here’s what makes homemade coconut milk a lot better than store-bought coconut milk: you add the water content at home, so it doesn’t have to get shipped across the globe! If you don’t have one of these expensive blenders, I recommend using store-bought nut butter or to scroll down to the alternative recipe! Just add coconut butter and water to your smoothies, or add coconut butter and veggie stock to a curry instead of coconut milk. Making coconut milk from coconut butter is a lot more convenient because you can make the amount you need and don’t have to worry about using up whatever is left in the can before it goes bad.
Because I just started to wash my hair with water only three weeks ago, as my IG followers know because I wouldn’t shut up about it 😝! I have also brought a bar hair soap with me and asked my hair stylist to use that one to wash my hair, because it’s obviously easier than getting them to use rye flour. It’s not an exact science, and ever since I started washing my hair with water only, I am inclined to say it doesn’t matter too much if a few strains of hair do not even get in touch with the paste, as long as you scrub your head well and rinse well. I dilute 1 tablespoon of ACV with one cup of water, I only apply it to my hair so it hardly touches my scalp, and I make sure to rinse it out with water afterwards.
Since then I have tried shampoo bars, hair soap, castile soap, rye flour, bentonite clay, and I just started testing the water-only method. At that time I simply didn’t know things like shampoo bars or hair soap existed. When we do buy solid shampoo for these reasons, we go for all-natural shampoo bars that use SLSA (Sodium Lauryl SulfoAcetate) instead of SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). However, compared to rye flour it can strip your scalp and hair off more of its natural oils, but I feel it’s less aggressive in doing so than shampoo and (hair) soaps.
