After nearly a year of planning from afar, on the shore of Lake Tahoe at the Hyatt at Incline Village, Emilia +Cameron welcomed just over 100 guests to celebrate their big day. Emilia + Cameron reside in Southern California and have a connection to the Lake Tahoe area through Cameron’s family cabin in Truckee. For Allison’s design, she chose a palette of powder blue and white with subtle accents of blush, which was so perfect for spring. We hired Aimee at 2Chic Events & Design and asked her to help us plan our perfect wedding day in two months. When we explained how little tradition we wanted and how we wanted our day to feel, she quickly coined our wedding as “a dinner party where you get married” and she couldn’t have been more correct. 2Chic Events is a Sacramento wedding planner, specializing in private estate and destination wedding planning.

This past August, I had the pleasure of assisting Julie and Russell with their gorgeous Beaulieu Garden wedding. But first, I will start by telling you that it was a great show of their strength and a huge stroke of horrific – and then amazing luck that brought us to this incredibly sweet and gorgeous day. Julie and Russell’s vision for their day was an intimate destination wedding, which they planned from the east coast. As if that didn’t cause enough stress, and while they were still working on bouncing back from the crazy events that occurred, Julie and Russell discovered just 24 hours before the big day that they had hired a flighty officiant.

But, thanks to the intimate nature of Plumpjack at Squaw Valley, their day still felt cozy and sweet as could be. Check out these super sweet images by Karna Roa, who did  stunning job of capturing their Plumpjack Squaw Valley wedding on this seriously beautiful August day. Although I had chosen the wedding venue site and Aimee independently, the staff at the site knew her well and it was clear that they love working with her because of her expertise–and because she is a lovely person! Aimee is a sweet and kind person who clearly loves what she does and made me feel absolutely special (and calm) on the big day.
