I wasn’t on social media during my 2004 diagnosis nor did I take any pictures during that time. I didn’t know any other young women with breastcancer, I wasn’t part of any support groups and I had no financial assistance. If it wasn’t for my alone time and unique experiences as a young #AfricanAmerican woman with breast cancer, I would’ve never created Shay Sharpe’s Pink Wishes or been able to grant #wishes, meet or give hope to families across the globe. Exactly 10 years after my 1st diagnosis the cancer returned thus giving me another Cancerversary to #celebrate. ~

Shay helps everyone else, ALL THE TIME, now she needs our help. On the night of October 9, 2018, upon arriving from a breast cancer fundraiser in Los Angeles, Shay noticed a horrid smell upon entering her home, which was the result of flooding in the lower level

We invite you to serve as a member of Shay Sharpe’s Pink Wishes 8th Annual Black Tie Fundraiser Host Committee. Since 2011, Shay Sharpe’s Pink Wishes has educated, advocated, mentored, supported  and granted numerous Big Wishes and hundreds of Xmas Wishes to young women and children, across the globe, who have been affected by breast cancer. Host Committee members contribute to the event in the following ways: • Commit to filling a table of 10 people. For the 2nd year in a row, Shay Sharpe’s Pink Wishes will host a feminine hygiene drive in Maryland to benefit women in need. Thanks to our amazing supporters, including the young women at Western High School, we were able to pack and distribute almost 300 bags to females in Baltimore City & Baltimore County shelters and homeless programs, during our 2017 SSPW Bday initiative
