I had a sudden urge to post something today, I don’t really know what to write about, I’ve used some old photos from last spring because I’m currently lay like a slob on the sofa after OD’ing on fry up and cups of teas, I’m debating on going for a run or do I start again Monday? The past couple of months have been like this on and off, I haven’t really got anything done, I’m feeling fed up, we are slap bang in the middle of moving house I feel like I’ve let everything else take over so if you would like to see some old school OOTD’s and outfit posts , I don’t want to look like everyone else, I don’t want all my pictures to look the same as everyone else’s so why the fuck am I comparing myself to everyone out there? ? ?
Ask is my go-to place to eat when I feel like a big bowl of pasta or filling my face full of pizza and a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited over to try their brand new spring menu and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. Whenever me and Paul eat out we always get jealous of what each other order so to save any arguments we decided to share the Antipasto Classico to start and order two pizzas so we could tear and share for our mains, plus we were feeling like fatties that evening There were so many options on the menu that took our fancy but as I said, we were feeling like pizza that evening, Paul went for the Vegan Super Green which was made up of a pea puree base, topped with Rocket, tender baby kale, asparagus, peas, red pepper pearls, spinach, balsamic red onions and Vegan Mozzarella, it was lovely and fresh, if you love your greens you need to try this! I went meaty and tried the Salami Misti which is a beautiful thin, crispy base topped with Milano and Fennel Salami, pepperoni, smoked prosciutto, roasted peppers and balsamic red onions, it was nothing but delicious, not going to lie
I adore our kitchen, it’s the one place in the house that I spend the majority of my time, cooking, cleaning, entertaining, if there’s one room that I think you should splurge on it We included a breakfast bar which we use for breakfast, lunch, dinner, (throwing all our stuff on at the end of the day realistically), it has been super useful and again added the possibility of interaction throughout the living space and provides more seating for guests and ourselves. the only thing missing is I would really like to add some more vintage furniture and accessories to this open plan space, things such as enamel ware, utensil canisters and some funky wall hooks for tea towels etc, other than a bit of accessorising here and there we are pretty much finished with the kitchen and we absolutely love how it turned out. I’d love to hear what you think or what you would have done differently, I can’t wait to do it all again in our new place, it’s been full of ups and downs but the end result is always so satisfying.
Hands up who’s a sucker for breakfast? If the answer is yes then this recipe is for you, wether you are vegan or not you will love this tasty baked porridge recipe. I’ve been hunting for new breakfast ideas for a while now and came across a few recipes on baked porridge, I’m going to admit, I didn’t even know about baked porridge, I mean, obviously you have to bake porridge oats to get flapjack but I just didn’t put two and two together so decided to give it a go and this beautiful traybake was born
