Highlights
Huus Hotel Gstaad, Switzerland

Huus Hotel Gstaad’s suites are kind of two hotel rooms put together into one. With three toilets, a bathtub, shower, eating space, king-sized Halstens bed, separate room with a sofa bed and walk in wardrobe. But rooms at Huus Hotel Gstaad, whether it be the family rooms or the suites, give you the chance to actually put the kids to sleep in one room and then be adults in the other room. Not like we can stay up past 9 pm anyway #becausekids, but it’s nice to feel like we have the option!

Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore

Next up on our tour of generous travel at Shangri-La Sentosa, we found ourselves at the gorgeous pool area which comprised of a splash pad, a very large shallow pool, a deeper more adult-friendly pool, and three water slides. When I first went in with the kids, I immediately got the whistle blown on me by one of the many surrounding lifeguards, and I was pretty certain it wasn’t a cat call because of the sexy one piece I was strutting. One important note about their shallow pool is that it was probably the best pool I’ve been in with the kids. I shockingly managed, and actually fully enjoyed taking my 3.5-year-old and 18-month-old to a pool, by myself, without anyone even coming close to drowning.

Bhaya Cruises, Halong Bay, Vietnam

Pullman Luang Prabang, Laos

Pullman Luang Prabang has done such an amazing job that there was very little to critique, but in the interest of full transparency, I’ll give three observations that I’d rank “good” versus their normal “great”. First, the a la carte menu, whether it be for lunch or dinner, had tons of options, each better than the next, whereas the buffet was a bit more standard and limited
