Well, I moved from Singapore to Tokyo in February 2018 to take up a job offer. I decided to put full-time blogging and freelance on hold in order to gain more experience in the “corporate” world. Knowing that I had to start work immediately and hence would not have time to house-hunt, I literally found in one day a nice and well-located little place (yes, apartments here are micro-sized) to stay. While I thought I would stay for a longer time in Japan, destiny decided differently.
The big fashion brands from the likes of Issey Miyake, acne studios and Prada can be found in the hip shopping neighborhoods of Harajuku and Omotesando (though I wish a few of my favorites like Minelli and Esprit are also here – soon perhaps? ). It is also out in the streets in these neighborhoods that I noticed some of the best styles and trends among young women. Its style is defined by brands like Supreme or Off White, sports-/street- wear labels like Adidas or Nike, and also K-Pop stars who have a huge influence over the younger generation. The continuous experimentation come to produce styles and trends that are original to Tokyo.
a night, I spent the rest of my to the Amba group is Songshan district is less crowded with tourist but there are several attractions 2-min walk away from the hotel is and cycle along the Keelung river. The hotel manager Jeanie gave us a tour of the rooms, all of which have s more, there is a laundry room, water fountain and a gym. Or you can call up the reception to borrow a yoga mattress for , or to borrow kid games to keep younger ones occupied The breakfast buffet is just as amazing The restaurant also do lunch and dinner, but you will want to ead to the bar for the best compliment you can make about a hotel is that I felt at home during my stay.
Back in the Prohibition era in the US when alcoholic beverages were banned, a “speakeasy” was a hidden place to sneak a drink. A bartender will let you into the “real” Ounce – a petit and intimist establishment which hosts only a few tables. No drink list – tell the bartender your preferences, mood, or both – then trust him to come up with a delightful cocktail. East End is more of a hip cosmopolitan bar with a modern urban deco, the better to pore over their extensive selection of cocktails.
