I’ve gone for monochrome in Max’s room, with this gorgeous grey/blue half wall. The theme is ‘adventure’ and I’ve bought this to life by using these fab wall stickers and various other adventure accessories like his play-mat and artwork. I’ve used a gorgeous blush pink shade by Farrow & Ball on the walls and added a few blush and brass accessories. To accessorise I’ve chosen to keep it simple by adding in black and white artwork, cushions and rug whilst incorporating brass to brighten the overall look of the room.
To some, a charm bracelet may feel like a dated item to be stashed away in your old jewellery box, but the truth is, they are a classic and timeless accessory. Every charm I own tells a story – the handbag charm to show my love for shopping, the ring charm which my husband gave me when we got engaged, the camera charm to reflect my passion for photography and the baby carriage charm gifted to me when Max was born. I thought I’d share the meaning behind some of the more commonly worn charms. If so, I’d love to know what your charms mean to you.

Try to shoot late in the afternoon, when there’s still plenty of good light, but no sun to reflect in your camera or to cast shadows on whatever you are photographing – plus you will get that dreamy afternoon sun in the background of your photos. It may sound like there are a lot of rules when it comes to getting the best photos for your blog, but the funny thing is that there aren’t really!
