The RV Rental Marketplace launched its "Zero Fees, 100 Trees" program, planting 100 trees and waiving service fees for every single booking now through the end of April. The program expands Mighway's long-term commitment to sustainability and deepens its roots in the United States, said Mighway CEO Dave Simmons."We're always pushing ourselves towards more sustainable practices, from making our Mighway vans eco-friendlier, encouraging travel outside of the cities to support smaller communities and recommending renters stay longer at campgrounds and RV resorts, so they drive less and connect with nature more," Simmons said. I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin and Mandy a few years ago when Keystone RV brought them out to the Dealer Open House event in Elkhart. I had the pleasure of getting a private walk-through of the LoadSafe, a break-through innovation that promises to do for safely towing RVs what airbags did for helping protect people in automobile crashes. Yes, that is a bold statement, But watch the video and see for yourself. It'll probably be a few years before we'll see this on production-model RVs as it's cost-prohibitive for the time being, but it's encouraging to see the industry —in this case Keystone RV, ASA Electronics, Dexter Axle and MORryde — able to engineer such remarkable technology.
