I’ll just start by answering that question with a huge spoiler alert – a roadtrip from the UK to Austria is soooooooo much fun! It isn’t necessarily the most obvious road trip route we would have thought of (in large part because we in the UK live on an island physically disconnect from mainland Europe) but it was absolutely brilliant every step of the way! There are a few reasons for this though… 😄 First off, the car! For this road trip, we partnered with BMW (who are the official sponsors of Snowbombing Festival… more on that later) where we were given our very own shiny BMW X3 to drive from the UK to Austria! There are undoubtedly so many cool features about the BMW X3 – you can find all the details on that right here (right down to the tech specs) but my favourites part were probably the ‘smaller details’. Like how you can control the entertainment in your car with just touchless gestures (felt a bit like using a magic wand)
After visiting Turkey a few times, I wanted to share some of my very favourite and best places in Turkey that you really can’t miss. Perched right on top of some ancient hot springs, Hierapolis is easily up there as one of the best places in Turkey and ancient cities to visit. Now, if you’re visiting spots like Marmaris, or the southwest coast, it’s pretty easy to go on a day trip to Hierapolis. Side is one of the best places in Turkey to visit that’s pretty easy to get to, especially if you’re flying into Antalya.
Once you’re here, make sure to explore the relatively close, Millomeris Waterfalls, take the Caledonia trail to Caledonia Waterfalls and finish off with a visit to the Trooditissa monastery. Whether it’s true or not, Kakopetria is still a gorgeous place to visit, that’s for sure. Paphos is easily up there as one of the best places in Cyprus to visit, especially if you want to explore some of the islands long history. It’s easily one of the best places in Cyprus to visit if you love ancient history.
Now, one of the main reasons we had David today was to help us ski across the mountains to Val-d’Isère. As David was guiding across to Val-d’Isère, we decided to stop off at Le Panoramic, a restaurant we’d heard lots about. After saying our goodbyes to David, he guided us straight over to Cocorico for a few hours of apres ski fun before heading back to Tignes. By the time pudding came – doughnuts, plum wine and lychee jelly, we well and truly stuffed… for the second time today!
