I suggest starting from the beginning of the tour, so be sure to go to Jen’s blog and check it out from Day 1. He even stopped biting at the Christmas tree for a couple minutes to adjust his halo for this picture! He is loving the tree, but hasn’t jumped on/into it yet, so I’m counting that as a win! I used black and white ribbon like our taller tree, but to give it a more cozy look I added cotton sprays and felt ball garland.
It’s been an odd season this year. The pumpkins are practically baking in the sun on my porch since it’s pretty much full sun all day. Last year I bought pumpkins near my hometown (across the state) and afterward was told by a neighbor friend about a great place way closer to where we live now. This cutie pie helped me pick a bunch of pumpkins out, although she and her sister keep reminding me we need more carving pumpkins for Halloween!
and I so want to make it work, so I’m slowly learning how to make those things happen on my own. So, right now the things I’m working on making this situation a little better and not letting edited pictures sit on my computer without a post written about them for 4 months is time blocking and writing my to-do list down instead of trying to keep it in my head. and I’m always thinking about the 856,457 things I need to get done. At least while I’m actually working, those things need to be silenced so I can’t be distracted by them.
It’s such a pretty piece with lots of character. I think there’s enough character in the rest of the piece to make up for it! It’s definitely a balancing act, but I’m always happy with the end result once I’m done. In a way, it’s more special than having someone buy a piece they see in the shop.
