It was beyond windy on their wedding day especially on the side of the chapel where we were allotted time and location to capture photos of Anna and her bridesmaids. Yet the thing I love about some of the photos from those moments is how much they display the weather the day (wind picking up gowns and all) and also the ability of the bride and her best friends to just roll with everything, keeping the focus on her’s and Cody’s celebration. It wasn’t Anna’s first look with her father that was my favorite father-daughter moment of the day but seeing what Lacy, the second photographer who helped out that day, captured as they waited to walk down the aisle that afternoon. After a few more photos around Duke Chapel for their Durham North Carolina Wedding (including a super cute photo of their bridesmaids wearing the groomsmen’s tuxedo coats to stay warm), it was time to party at The Rickhouse, just about 15 minutes away.

Helen and Tom were as beautiful in their spirit and perfection as a bride and groom on their brisk, December wedding day. and I was truly honored to be a part of the “family” once again after Alyssa and Ethan’s wedding just a few months ago where I initially met them. Just about a year later they’d tie the knot at Cary wedding venue, Chatham Station, and hire their planner, Sarah of Sweet Sarabelle. And I couldn’t resist using the lounge furniture and pillows for assorted details at this Cary wedding venue, Chatham Station. Afterwards we went outside for very special photos with Liz’s father’s white vintage car. The bridesmaids wore light blue chiffon gowns and carried eucalyptus and rose bouquets that complimented Liz’s, filled with pink and peach flowers.

The glow of candlelight warmed guests up after a beautiful ceremony at Duke Chapel on Anna and Cody’s wedding day. Working with Amanda, from A Swanky Affair, is always a personal favorite. ’s day was pure perfection from planning, to the beautiful ceremony, glowing reception and even their ribbon exit.
