No Cat Got My Tongue : INTERVIEW // RUMI

YOU PREVIOUSLY MADE MUSIC UNDER THE NAME ‘A DREAM, THE NIGHT’. WAS THERE A REASON BEHIND THE NAME CHANGE? I tried the whole duo set up for a long time, had multiple members coming in and out

No Cat Got My Tongue : YOU ARE NOT JUST A STATISTIC: MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH // A PHOTO SERIES

YOU ARE NOT JUST A STATISTIC: MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH // A PHOTO SERIES I can't help thinking of how this series is also dedicated to all the men in this country who lost their lives to suicide, their stories are not just statistics. I was trying to remember why I decided to begin this project and I stumbled across a song titled 'I'm Going Somewhere (But I'm Not Sure Where) by Buí, a Belfast based music project

No Cat Got My Tongue : PATCHWORK: AN EXPLORATION OF INSECURITIES // A PHOTO SERIES

God knows I am a patchwork quilt of so many negative and positive entities, but I am also worthy of good things, just as every single one of the people photographed in this series are. I want to say a huge thank you to those who took part in the series, Katie, Michaela, Michael, David, Sorcha, Nicola and Shane for taking the time to come to my house and be photographed. I’ve never directed one in a photo series before and you can see that the series is a bit rough around the edges, but I do believe everyone has to start somewhere. I haven’t been active on this blog much this year, but I hope that this series shows that I am trying to create positivity with this series.

No Cat Got My Tongue : 7 YEARS / MY MENTAL HEALTH

It's just my way of asking for more discussion about mental health, more openness. Because I am now aware of this self blaming attribute of my mental health, I can try argue with it, put my hand over the mouth of my mind and tell it no, I am not the horrible person you tell me I am. My struggle with mental health is not the same as someone else's. I just know that I am more than my mental health, I am not just a girl who struggles with mental health issues, I am so much more than that
