I have a bunch of different versions of quinoa breakfast bowls here on the blog (see links below right before the recipe) because I love how plain and neutral the nutty flavor of quinoa is, I mean you can make it taste like so many different flavors from sweet cinnamon and maple to fresh and nutty with non-dairy milk and nut butter and sweet from added fruits! Like I have mentioned before I usually soak my quinoa overnight in some water in the fridge overnight and then drain + rinse it before cooking it…. Anyways, this quinoa bowl gets it’s sweet-ness from pure maple syrup and blueberries (I like frozen, they seem to taste more sweet) a nice added tangy flavor from the yogurt and a savory and satisfying addition of nut butter!
I will make like 3-4 batches of this and put it in the fridge, then I have a quick grab and go meal ready when I need it. I usually eat it for lunch because for me fruit/smoothies is usually breakfast and around lunch time I am craving something a little more filling and sweet! the maple syrup sweetener gives it a nice flavor and taste without being too sugary or overpowering and the nut butter on top just makes it seem so indulgent and really like a treat! Simply add the oats, chia, non-dairy milk and maple syrup to a bowl and mix it up, scoop the nut butter and sliced bananas on top and place in the fridge overnight!
This Cinnamon Quinoa Protein Cereal Bowl is so simple to make, vegan and gluten free, healthy and packed with protein and flavor! Ok, you know I love my breakfast bowls, even though most of the time I eat them for lunch not breakfast but I know I’m a little different like that plus “lunch bowl” just sounds funny. Either way this bowl could really be breakfast lunch or dinner cause’ I mean it’s super healthy and packed with nutrition which we all love right?! Well… this one is like a nice and toasty cookie bowl… the nutty quinoa mixed with cinnamon and nut butter is just so super yum and warming! This cereal bowl comes together really easily, the only thing you really need to do is prepare the quinoa, I like to soak mine overnight before cooking for better digestion but that’s totally optional
Rudolph’s Chewy Sprinkle Cookies are a reindeer’s favorite gooey chewy cookie and a nice sweet homemade vegan cookie for Santa’s best furry friends! With all that hard work, Santa’s furry friends need a sweet treat on Christmas also right?! Nothing better than a gooey and chewy cookie with little crunches of sprinkle through out with a traditional vanilla almost cake batter flavor! I know Rudolph and his friends will love them… and I’m sure you will too! So to make these Chewy Sprinkle Cookies it’s quite simple, you only need 1 bowl. First you melt the butter and then mix in the sugars until nice and well combined, then add in the rest of the wet ingredient’s until it’s sugary sweet smelling and all mixed up! Next add in the flour, salt and baking soda all at once, and then mix it up, add in the sprinkles and mix until well combined
