Yesterday I had to take a little "work trip" to the other side of the city and while getting lost and frozen in the wilds of East London, somewhere around old docks by the Thames, I stumbled upon a beach created by the rivers low tide. We were probably somewhere halfway between City of London and Canary wharf, two places with the tallest skyscrapers, but when the last were directly visible on our left, curving of the river completely hid the others towards our right, and looking around seemed like you're ashore of the lake surrounded by the villages. We've been in one of the biggest and busiest cities, a walk away from the centre of the world, yet it felt like completely different universe, much more peaceful and tranquil indeed. I was thinking about my failed job assignment, falling of which was so much fun at that very present moment, thinking of how goofing around was making me genuinely happy, yet knowing once I return back
There's sort of a beach underneath, the layer of paddles showing up during Thames' low tight, and gated stairs leading to them. Of course not, after all of our others little misconducts we climbed around without blink of a doubt. There's sort of a beach underneath, the layer of paddles showing up during Thames' low tight, and gated stairs leading to them. Funnily I was wearing the exact same boots with rubber bottoms, that made stumping in the river fun and dry.
But being stuck at the house, any excuse becomes a good excuse. What better than accompanying your friend who needs to go pick up official papers, who needs to go make a PCR test, who needs to go feed the ducks and go for the daily exercise. There are still so many vibrant places, like Brixton, where people are crowding around market and shops. Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it's not because they enjoy solitude.
I'm sure this is a well known information to general majority of people and smartphone users, but it wasn't until very recently (read that few days ago), that I discovered this wonderful feature of talking to my phone, and having it talk back to me. I'm sure these are things most people were using for ages and can hardly relate to my newly discovered hype, but I'm still using the first smartphone I got 4 years ago, and I know it sounds crazy, but it would actually be extremely entertaining to have somebody to talk to, even if just the machine, after being alone for days and days. You can always retire and hide in your room of course, but it's just so much fun to socialize with other tenants, especially now we can all talk as we wish and others can have a way to understand with automatic translator (I'm already excited to find out what people gossip about me when they think I won't get it).
