So, I have decided to shake up my TBR for April by joining in with Book Roast’s Magical Readathon, because I love me some Harry Potter themed geekery and will take up any opportunity to show some House pride and represent Ravenclaw. But because I am an overachieving Ravenclaw I am also thinking of trying to take on an extra subject ‘just for fun’ – namely Care Of Magical Creatures. * Care Of Magical Creatures, ‘Land animal on the cover’: Moonlocket by Peter Bunzl I have chosen books for every single subject on the O. W.L.s subject list though – That’s what she needs for her chosen career, but I have also found her a book for every subject in case she, too, feels like doing some extra reading!
A solid 4* read that has me excited to read the other two of her adult books I have on my shelves (one is a signed ARC of her latest book that I won this week! ) Under The Microscope by H. G. Wells which was this month’s Penguin Little Black Classic. It was interesting to read as I have only read Wells’ science fiction before and this was more contemporary. This month I was able to check off ‘standalone’ with How Do You Like Me Now, ‘a genre you don’t normally read’ with the autobiography, and ‘on your TBR for 2+
Monday: Pork Stroganoff with Rice – Quick and easy to start the week off. Tuesday: Bacon & Mushroom Pasta – Sticking with quick and easy because crazy Tuesday, as always. Spaghetti Bolognaise – Going for something familiar in case Wednesday’s new recipe goes down badly! There is always *something* left kicking around in the fridge on Sunday night!
