What does a wedding celebrant do?

They are coming from 2 different religions and want a neutral ceremony which can bring in nods to each D. Or for many some want a simple ceremony, by this I mean having the ceremony in venue the reception is in. The Unity candles set up is where both light an individual candle and then towards the end of the ceremony, the couple use the flame from their individual candles to light one large candle together. Sue also explains that sometimes, couples come and ask for something that is unique to the couple and that’s why the initial meetings are so important as it allows couples to ideate and Sue to bring out the creativity with the couple. A celebrant would not look after the legalities of the marriage and you will find that most couples visit their local registry office, sign the marriage papers and do the personal ceremony with a celebrant on their wedding day.

What is the difference? Registrar, Celebrants, Humanists

One thing that I hear couples ask time and time again is what’s the difference between a celebrant and all other names of those performing ceremonies i.e humanist, solemniser, priest etc. I had to check in with my wedding celebrant pal Sue to get the scoop and for my own knowledge, I wanted to see if anything had changed since the last time I wrote about this subject matter. If you were choosing to go down the 100% no religious route, a humanist is what you will need, A Humanist wedding is completely secular (ie non‐religious, with no hymns, prayers or bible readings). A wedding celebrant is someone who presides over a wedding ceremony but is not legally invested to marry a couple.

Ted Baker Weddings

I was doing my usual scroll through Pinterest when I came across some really simple and pretty wedding dresses. When I dug a little deeper, I discovered that the wedding dresses in question were by Ted Baker. Ted Baker is always present for wedding guest looks at weddings but now, their dresses are taking centre stage for many brides. Ted Baker launched a full wedding collection in the last year and the gowns are epic.

London Bridal Fashion Week 2019

I was back in the Excel London for London Bridal Fashion Week and White Gallery. This is Europe’s most anticipated bridal event and it attracts bridal boutique owners from far and wide. I took some time to check out the 2020 collections from the main design houses and of course, get an idea of the next trends hitting the aisles for next year. Here are the main 20 trends I spotted while I was there: Check out the pictures below!
