We think we’ve found one of the best places to stay on Kefalonia, read on to find out the location of our luxury Fiscardo villa. The road from Argostoli, Kefalonia’s capital on the south west coast, to Fiscardo up on the north east is surprisingly straight and easy to drive. That’s not to say it’s a motorway, or even an A road, and it still takes an hour and a half to cover 49km. It’s a long way down to the beach – and up again, so best to make a day of it, though strong currents mean it might not be the best for families. Up in the north you’ll find pretty Venetian architecture in Fiscardo, along with stylish restaurants, bars and shops, whilst the neighbouring villages are altogether quieter.
But you can also slip one of Liberty’s signature patterns into your handbag or onto your desk by way of their pretty cotton-covered journals, £25, or pocket notebooks, £15.
