We found a beautiful Airbnb studio apartment in a historical building which was really centrally located, just a few minutes walk to the Old Town area. I had actually done my research before our trip so knew quite a lot about the famous travel spots in the city, including the cities ancient history and status as a Unesco World Heritage site. We had big plans for our Saturday night which started on La Barge bar (one of the many riverboat bars in the city) where we had some prosecco before hitting up the best club in Lyon – Le Sucre – until the early hours! I had such a fun weekend with Laura, couldn’t ask for a better travel buddy; and I feel like we had just enough time during our long weekend in Lyon to see everything and get a real taste of Lyon life.
Cadbury Creme Egg have teamed up with Georgia Green of Georgia’s Cakes to create a number of Creme Egg themed recipes. I met Georgia at the recent Cadbury Creme Egg camp and I couldn’t wait to try out one of these recipes for myself. I have included the full recipe here from Georgia’s Cakes which I used to make the Creme Egg cheesecake Cut the remaining Cadbury Creme Eggs in half – length ways – and arrange them facing out around the sides of the cake tin (use the goo to make them stick to the sides! )
If you follow me on social media you’re probably over all the 30th birthday party pics so apologies in advance for a full blog post about the party! Of course the week of my birthday we were hit with the really bad weather in the UK & Ireland and at a time I really thought the party would have to be cancelled as I might not be able to travel back! My family had gone into the House Hotel during the day to put up 30th birthday decorations and the party area looked amazing! My 30th Birthday party was a really special night and I’m so grateful I got to celebrate with all of those closest to me.
It feels a little strange to be writing this blog post, sharing my thoughts on turning 30 because I’ve been led to believe that we have a ‘London’ age that’s a fair bit younger than our real age. The reality however is that, regardless of living in london, I turn 30 today and I’m about to share my thoughts on how I feel about this with you. I’m a huge family person and I feel very lucky to have been brought up in a family that truly appreciates family. Everyone has made me feel so special about turning 30, I honestly feel like I’m being treated like royalty by my family, friends and work colleagues today
