Bringing Life into the Lack Luster and Refreshing decor ideas.
I started out with a metal bowl, and I sprayed it with cooking spray before adding the cement. I then filled the bowl about half (or a little more than half) full and then pressed the blue bowl down into it, after I sprayed the bottom of the blue bowl with the cooking spray as well. I let the cement set up the rest of the way and dry overnight before I removed the larger bowl underneath…also known as the reincarnated food bucket. Having the stones in the bowl allowed for the top bowl to be heavier and sit lower inside the cement to make the indentation for the planter.
Mix together the dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl, and in a large bowl mix together softened coconut oil and maple syrup, and then add the egg and mix. We recently discovered these organic dark chocolate bars at Whole Foods by the brand Green and Black’s and have been loving them! The label does say that they are manufactured on equipment that processes milk, but dairy is not added , because they are made with cocoa butter, which is just a vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean. We use it as we are not allergic to dairy, only sensitive, and cross contamination is not a concern of ours, but if it is for you, then you may want to opt for something else I’m so excited to be sharing this recipe with you all, and I hope you’ll try it out for yourself, and go make these AMAZING gluten free dairy free chocolate chip cookies! !
I don’t decorate much for Valentine’s Day but I thought it would be fun to make a heart garland out of clay hearts. I wanted the hearts to look antiqued and I love the way they turned out! I used air dry modeling clay
For the flowers that had six petals, I would trace out six more, and for the flowers with four petals, I would trace out four more. This means that there would be one extra to use for my next layer, because I would trace a smaller flower inside of the one from the first layer (about one inch in) and then cut that one out and use it for tracing the second layer. For a couple of the flowers I only had four petals in one layer, and six petals per layer for another flower. For the center of my flowers, I used the leftover petal from the third layer and traced a smaller petal inside it.
