Despite this, there was one item of furniture remaining in our living room that was a huge eye sore and in need of replacing - an old Ikea piece that I had used as a vanity of sorts when we lived in San Francisco. It was being used as a console table in our now living room and while it was semi-functional, it just didn’t look right and definitely stood out as being “cheap” among some of our other great vintage and antique pieces. The lower shelf is great to style with books and the like or leave empty if you have a busy toddler like myself 🙂 Since our living room already has a natural wood piece of furniture and a black painted piece, I decided to go with the “Super White” classic color for the console. If you’re looking for the “perfect” piece but can’t find exactly what you’re wanting I definitely recommend working with the team at The New Traditionalists to get exactly what you want!

How do they manage to make everything look both structural (re: crisp) but also accessible (re: perfect for everyday and wearing forever and ever)? ! Regardless of whatever magic Cuyana works, I have to say that this Seersucker Flounce Top has been a go-to this summer. The material is super lightweight, the boxy fit looks great tucked in (my go-to) or out of various bottoms, and it works with a strapless bra. Same great lines at the classic size and a little bigger than the small (hence the medium name).

But that's not why I love this Mirth dress (it's named Anguilla). I love it because like many Mirth pieces, it's not season specific. Wearing it now in oven-like temps (how people are doing the whole "fall" dressing thing right now, I have no idea) and I'm def going to laying it up once the cooler weather decides to roll in.

Outdoor Voices nailed the whole skort game (as Sally pointed out in this post) so it was zero surprise when I fell in love with their Exercise Dress. Per all OV pieces, it's made with special tech-sport material and designed for "doing things" (ex: working out, living life, etc.). While it's designed for exercise (it's even included in the name) and even has a built-in leotard liner, I bought it for everyday wear and have been styling it as such. The racer-back definitely gives it a sporty look but unless you profess to all the peeps giving you compliments that it's a "workout" dress, no one would be the wiser.
