One of the things the feminist movement has done so successfully is to stir up discontent in women with being homemakers and to convince them that other pursuits can increase their sense of self-worth… Fueling discontent and pushing women out of their homes in search of greater meaning and satisfaction has resulted in off-the-chart stress levels for many women who can no longer survive without pills and therapists … They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. And, the highest honor, the greatest goal in the life of every older woman in this church is to have the honor of being that older-woman-in-the-faith. In order for me to obtain this role in the future, I need to be qualified by growing in my relationship with God, being a godly wife, raising my children and keeping my home.

Several years ago, I decided to ditch the resolutions for intentional goal planning. When we look to God regarding our plans we are able to filter out what’s really important, avoid comparison and focus on our own aspirations by staying in our own lane. Furthermore, we know that God is ultimately in control, our plans may change based on His will. My prayer is that you will accomplish everything God has planned for you in the New Year!
I want to encourage you to take a moment to reflect on God’s love, strength, and guidance in your life, today. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. James 1:14-17 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
