We are now deep into August and some of the best summery produce have peaked. I highly recommend taking a walk through your local farmers market and enjoying the freshness of summer produce. I made this delicious Strawberry and Peach crisp which is super low in sugar and high in fiber, In a mixing bowl, mix sliced peaches and sliced strawberries together Add one cup of milk (I used 2% milk) Pour fruit mixture into a baking pan and add oat mixture on top
Unless if it’s a relaxing Sunday morning, I have zero desire to sit down and cook breakfast in the morning. I got in a very bad habit of stopping at Starbucks before work to grab a cappuccino & sous vide egg bits. Making food ahead of time to reheat has been a huge benefit for me for both saving money and making sure I’m choosing healthier foods. For breakfast some great “grab-and-go” easy prep options include: cottage cheese and fruit, hard boiled eggs and 1/2 avocado, good old cereal and my personal favorite Frittata Muffins.
