Thanks for stopping by Bee In DC! I hope you enjoy reading this little labor of love.
Once we were all in Nashville together by Friday afternoon we headed to an area of Nashville called the Gulch looking for a late-lunch spot. After the museum we continued walking around in this part of Nashville and stumbled upon many things that definitely screamed Nashville! A few hours later, we were headed to another part of Nashville, 5 Points in East Nashville. When I was doing some Nashville research before this trip, I read how each of Nashville’s neighborhoods have their own unique distinguishing character
I thought it would be fun to share what Ava and Luke’s Easter baskets are looking like this year. As with past years, I really try to keep Ava’s basket (and now Luke’s basket) simple and let the true message of Easter and spending time with family and friends take front and center. However, I cannot not let a holiday go by without partaking in a little gift-giving! • Plastic sparkly eggs filled with candy (not too much) and stickers All courtesy of Target (except the basket)!
And just like that it’s Tuesday again. Still trying to shake off this lingering cough, but feeling SO much better than I did this time last week. As millions did, I watched and read in horror how Notre Dame was ablaze in flames yesterday. Someone is pretty glad it’s Tuesday himself!
Last Saturday my little family and I ventured to the Blossom Kite Festival on the National Mall. This is an annual, cool & family-friendly, and free event that is part of the whole Cherry Blossom Festival celebration. While supplies lasted, the festival offered free kite-making materials and construction for anyone who wanted to partake in kite flying if they didn’t bring their own kite or didn’t want to purchase kites that were being sold at the festival as well. Ava’s kite, listening to music, watching synchronized kite-flying performances (I didn’t even know this was a thing! ), and just being outside with each other.
