supernova: denim jackets half on, shoulder kisses, sweet scented candles lit around the room, dark eye bags, nostalgia, aloof but is actually a sweetheart, blurry photographs, long eyelashes, perfumed blankets, has an empty feeling in their heart lunar eclipse: cursive handwriting, jazz music in the background, the smell of fresh coffee beans, leather jackets that perfectly fit, sleeps late but wakes up early, afraid of failure, sweet tooth, soft white linen, cobblestone streets, cares too much for their loved ones constellation: tangled earphones, oversized tee shirts, cold hands, self deprecating jokes, piles of books near their bed, chamomile tea, keeps a journal under the pillow, stargazing, fairy lights always on, long train rides, gives the best advice but never follows them meteor shower: dancing in the rain, silver lockets, tired eyes, wants to travel the world, messy space buns, loves cloudy skies, midnight drives around town, confident yet insecure, iced coffee literally everyday, is honest about everything nebula: dreamy evenings, old films, contagious smile, diners, will stay up for you till 3am, aromatherapy, deja vu, neon lights in the city, cherry heart lollipops, hugs from behind, polaroid pictures, drive-in theatres
I mostly redownloaded my tumblr app because I’ve been looking for an app that I can designate as my self-care app. Because Twitter can drain you, Instagram is stressful, and Youtube isn’t that fun once I catch up with everything in my sub. So this app will be the app I go to for sources of creativity, the one I can share self-care ideas, the place I can share my recent reads, answer questions from you, share my recent videos and photos I’ve posted, etc. So yeah, hi, I’m here.
I’m reading The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi, and I’m having a lot of fun with it so far! Because it has to deal with misfits and morally grey characters, it keeps on reminding me of Peaky Blinders which I want to rewatch… for the fifth(? ) time. If you do not know, I’m basically Peaky Blinder’s personal marketing team. If you like Kaz Brekker, Thomas Shelby, the main character of PB, is basically an older version of him!
I can read mythological retellings for days, and I can’t believe it took me this long to get to Circe which chronicles the life of a goddess that makes an appearance in The Odyssey. Madeline Miller never fails to pull me into a world full of familiar faces, drama, secrets, and deception. Circe is also this morally grey main character who wants to help mortals but isn’t afraid to take revenge on those who cross her, and I adored her development and who she became by the end of the story. Madeline Miller never fails to enchant me with her writing, and I cannot wait to see what she has to share next.
