Last week, I took a road trip to Seattle to learn about Ling Ling Asian, not only did I learn about some fun and interesting Chinese new year traditions, I learned how to cook some interesting veggies that pair beautifully with Ling Ling Potstickers! During the event we worked with Chef Katie Chin who was absolutely lovely, she told us about chinese traditions and showed us how to put together an amazing sauce, cook Chinese green beans, eggplants and Ling Ling Potstickers! The long beans were super easy to make, we boiled them for about 2 minutes, chopped them in to small slices then transferred them over to a bowl of ice water to cool down, then we drained the green beans and fried them with some garlic, hoison and oyster sauce until they were fully cooked. I learned how to cook eggplant properly thanks to Chef Katie Chin, we started by cutting out eggplants into 1/2 inch slices, then we added them to cold water with a little bit of salt, this is a mandatory step I previously missed.
