(I even Rightmoved houses while I was there! ) and had their wedding 10 minutes from home at The Old Vicarage Venue, which is a beautiful country house that’s perfect for weddings. It has a light, white-walled ceremony room (music to a photographer’s ears! ), an outdoor ceremony area, woodlands, a garden, a marquee if you fancy it, and a little pub on site too. They had their ceremony in the stag room (not the official name but you’ll see! ), they both wore cat socks (not just any old cat socks but ones with their actual cats on) and gold glittery DMs for Victoria, and the whole day was just a whirlwind of belly laughs (dad’s speech about an old decrepit Mini Victoria once bought creased me up). Everyone mocked us for being so well organised (I am an Office Manager, it was never not going to be organised) but it meant we got to enjoy all the planning, all the DIY and the countdown to the big day without being stressed out of our tiny little minds!
so when I decided to bite the bullet and get a Pink-style mohawk, I took Todd along with me to make sure I didn’t back out (and to take photos! ) Loads of people have called me brave, but it’s not really – hair grows, and there’s no point holding back from something you want to try. I finally feel like I look like “me”. Thanks Doodas Hair in Canterbury for this awesome look – and all my supporters having their hair done in the chairs either side of me!
Helen and Charles got married at Tewin Bury Farm in Hertfordshire last weekend, and it was SO much fun. We got a Routemaster bus from bridal prep to the church, and then all the guests bundled onto the bus to travel to Tewin Bury Farm. They held their reception in the Tythe Barn at Tewin Bury Farm, which is huge beautiful barn. The party got started with a mash-up of their favourite tunes, and the dancefloor pretty much kept going all night!
I walked into the boys’ hotel room in the morning of April and Jamie’s wedding, and was greeted with a gang of topless, trouser-less men, one mini fan, one bottle of vodka and a steaming iron left on. Moving on to the girls’ hotel, Artist’s Residence, the atmosphere was total calm and serenity – the opposite to the boys! April and Jamie got married in Brighton at Duke of Yorks, where they first met working on a film together. April and Jamie’s first dance was from Grease, and they totally nailed it.
